At Biodesign, we are committed to making prosthetic and orthotic care accessible and affordable. Eligible orthotic braces and prosthetic limbs can be funded through the Assistive Devices Program (ADP), a branch of the Ontario Ministry of Health. The program provides funding up to a maximum approved amount, with the remaining typically being the patient’s responsibility. To qualify, individuals must have a valid Ontario Health Card (OHIP) and a long-term physical disability (lasting six months or more) that significantly impacts their ability to perform daily activities.

You can learn more about the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) here –> Ontario ADP – Government of Ontario.

In addition to ADP coverage, many patients have access to private insurance or workplace benefits that may cover some or all of the remaining balance. After your assessment, our team will gladly provide a detailed quote, which you can submit to your insurance provider to explore available benefits.

We also work closely with various funding and charitable organizations such as:

  • War Amps
  • March of Dimes Canada
  • Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
  • Workers Safety Insurance Board (WSIB)
  • Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA)
  • Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) – Department of Indian Affairs
  • Ontario Works (OW)
  • Assistance for Children with Severe Disability (ACSD)
  • Easter Seals
  • March of Dimes Canada

Thanks to these partnerships, we are often able to directly bill on your behalf, reducing upfront costs and paperwork for you. Our knowledgeable and compassionate staff are here to guide you through every step of the funding process, so you can stay focused on your recovery and daily life.

We’d love to work with You
